is it ok for my quaker parrot to drink ice tea?
my quaker always begs for food when we are eating, and always give him some of what we are eating (except chocolate) but my quaker now has an addiction to drinking my arizona ice tea… he had some coca-cola as well, but he loves ice tea… since i haven’t read anywhere about this I was curious as to if this could be harmful to him… I would hate to take this away from him since he loves it so much….
i did try to give him a “sip” of some water that I had in my glass earlier, and when he realized that it was water and not ice tea he lost interest in it.. it wasn’t what he wanted…
this bird is spoiled… he loves pasta, but will spit out the caned stuff (chef-boy-r-dee)

how do i find out the sex of a pair of Quaker parrots?
Four days ago I adopted/inherited three quaker parrots. I think they are less than a year old. Their previous owner barely interacted with them therefore they are very nervous around people. I would like to know how to tell if they are male or female with out having to take them to the pet shop or getting a blood test. Also i want get some ideas/input on how to go about training them and integrating them to their new family. I have taken care of many animals, but am not familiar with birds in general, such as behavior, training, diet, growth and development rate. I have an idea of their general lifespan but thats about it.
Please Help! Any input will be greatly appreciated by both myself and my new family members.
quaker parrot home alone? good or bad?
im about to go to sydney for five days
my parents wont let met leave my quaker parrot at a pet home thing
none of my frends want to take care of him
i joined his two cages together
they are both really big so now he has a huge cage
i filled it with toys
and i covered one half with a tarp if the weather gets bad
my grandpar will water and feed him
but he wont take him out and play with him
is this a really bad idea?
i feel sooo guilty leaving him in his cage for five whole days
will he get angry and upset??
is this unhealthy for my bird??
please help im leaving 2 moro!!! 5 am!
Abused Quaker Parrot?
Hi, I just adopted a Quaker parrot and I don’t know to much about them. I have the basics down but the problem I am running into is my parrot was abused by his previous owner. He will not let anybody near him, his food, or cage without charging at them and trying to bite. Needless to say feeding time is hard. I have recently started trying to bribe him so that he wants me near the cage because I have treats but I don’t want him to expect this all the time. How should I go about calming him down and making him realize that I will not hurt him no matter what? I would really like for him to be a happy loving bird and am willing to put in the hours to help him get there emotionally.
