why don’t you break your leg or splay your leg and find out how it feels to have medical help withheld!!! take the bird to the vet!!!

you should take it to the vet asap! I was just at my vet weeks ago and i asked about splayed legs (out of curiosity) and he said that if its more than a week, then it will be super hard if not impossible to correct it. I hope you’re just asking the question to get educated on it and its not happening to your bird! if your bird is already a couple of months old, its too late. Good luck!

It needs to be seen by a vet asap or it will remain that way for life.

a sprayleds leg bird leg can not be fixed after the age 2 months , its too set and is not going to help it. dont try it if its over two months of age all you can do is make it easier for them to get around. use ladders as perches , ect. i have 4 sprayled legs birds here two are dusky two keets . and that is what we do. its too old to be fixed so please dont try , it can live a long happy life just the way it is. trust me on that one i take in specail abled birds many many come through my door and all are specail just love him the way he is and make his life easier ,but setting up the cage with ladders as perches food dishes low enough for him to get to . ect

Not more than a few weeks… The younger the bird is at the time of the attempted correction, the shorter the period that will be needed for correction and the greater the success rate.
